In Canada, students receive a high school diploma upon successful completion of secondary school. This is often referred to as a Secondary School Diploma or a High School Diploma. Refer to "https://www.cicic.ca/1155/An-overview-of-education-in-Canada/index.canada" under the heading "Elementary and secondary (K-12) education" where it states "In most jurisdictions, secondary school, often referred to as high school, runs from grade 9 to grade 12. In Ontario, high school runs from grade 9 to grade 12. Students in all jurisdictions who successfully complete their secondary school education obtain a high school diploma."
