The equivalent of a secondary school diploma in Ontario is the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). The OSSD is awarded by the Ontario Ministry of Education to students who have completed at least 30 credits in secondary school courses, including compulsory credits in English, Math, Science, Canadian History, Canadian Geography, Arts, Health and Physical Education, and a second language.
